This little piggy went to market...

Happy father's day to all the dads out there!

We travelled up to Ballarat to my sister's house for a family get together. We spent the morning looking around Ballarat market, where we managed to pick up a few cool new treasures for the house  - all for the grand sum of about $20...

The chicken pot is my favourite, but Ben says he likes the brass mice the best...

We did manage to get up to the house on Saturday, and it looks like they have all been working very hard over the past week. Both the outside and the insides have had a few coats of paint put on, and the external doors have all been stained.

Weatherboards are painted in Colorbond Classic Cream, which turns out to be
very similar to the colour of the raw boards

Trims and posts are all Colorbond Surfmist

Stucco infills are half-strength Classic Cream

Love these finials over the garage door - glad we changed to these!

A few shots of the front door (external architrave still to be painted):

Moving on through the rest of the house:

Kitchen

Pantry and study doors

Laundry

Looking through to the family room and theatre room

Family room windows

Dining room

Theatre room

Family room again

Master bedroom - can't wait to see our fireplace eventually installed here
(to be done by us after handover)

In terms of timings, the painters should be finishing up this week, then we will see the tilers coming in during the next week or so.
